My name is Jane Loafman and I teach Pre-K at Will Rogers. This will be my 32nd year of teaching. I started my teaching career after graduating from Southeastern at the ripe age of 21 . I began this wonderful experience at Lee Elementary teaching first grade. After four years in first I moved down to Kindergarten where I taught 17 more years. I was the first all day Kindergarten program in Duncan. I then had a wonderful opportunity to teach Pre-K at Horace Mann until Will Rogers Pre-K center opened. I am now into the eighth year here.
I am married to Dennis who is the Superintendent at the Red River Tech. Center. I consider him a saint because he has put up with me for 26years.
We have a son, Davis, who is a Junior at Edmond majoring in Mortiary Science. We also have a daughter, Kaitlyn, who is a Sophmore at New Mexico and is trying to make that big decision about which major to pick. I have another child who is furry and has four legs. His name is Armonie and he is a porkie yorkie. Kaitlyn and Davis say he's the favorite. I love to read, scrapbook, play cards, and shop.
I can't imagine doing anything but teaching. I knew from age five I wanted to teach. I came from a long line of teachers. The importance of learning and teaching was just part of life. I believe children all learn differently and when their developmentally ready. A child has to have success and love to succeed.
